PIERS SECUNDA
For fifteen years, Piers Secunda has been developing methods for using paint away from the traditional support of the canvas. His practice has developed increasingly complex and technically demanding systems to make paint behave as a sculptural material. This stems from a desire to move away from the standard restraints of the painting practice, without relinquishing the primary material. Casting with paint is the corner stone of his practice.
